Horizon Zero Dawn fans have been anxiously anticipating any news about the game's sequel and they now got a teaser through an unexpected source - Janina Gavankar, the actress who voices Tatai. The reveal was no intentional apparently.
Guerrilla Games have not yet revealed any meaningful info about the potential Horizon Zero Dawn sequel as the probably want to keep things under wraps until they have something to show the fans but the possibility of a marketing campaign kicking off with a supposed leak is not excluded.
The leak happened through Janina Gavankar, the voice actress behind Tatai, although many will be more likely to know her from the role of Iden Versio on Star Wars: Battlefront II due to the character being modeled after the actress herself.
While live streaming her presence at the Star Wars Celebration event, Gavankar was greeted by a fan who thanked the actress for introducing her to Horizon Zero Dawn, because she would apparently never have tried it otherwise.
After a short exchange of pleasantries, Gavankar told the fan she should wait for the sequel, because it's so good that "you're gonna die". According to the actress, she "[knows] some secrets", after which she once again said that the fan is "gonna die" but it's hard to imagine Gavankar is some sort of an evil oracle that tells people when they are going to meet their end, so the logical conclusion is she believes Horizon Zero Dawn 2 will be amazing.
Considering this was a Twitch live stream, viewers quickly clipped it, posting the video on the site shortly after. Twitch removed the video soon, but this is the internet so since the footage was taken once, it shall be forever and ever until the end of time.
That said, it's hard to imagine Horizon Zero Dawn 2 is just around the corner - the official announcement is yet to happen and Guerrilla Games will probably look to make it available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Sony wouldn't mind a successful exclusive for the new generation's launch either.
