Trusted insider Jeff Grubb reveals that he heard rumours about Horizon Forbidden West getting delayed to 2022. Grubb also states that Sony could have their big games showcase in September.
Horizon Forbidden West is officially scheduled to launch later this year but the game still doesn't have a specific release date. Guerrilla Games and Sony stated a couple of times they are confident that Aloy's next adventure is hitting the 2021 release window but rumours about a potential delay were always circulating online.
Today, we have another rumour, coming from reliable industry insider Jeff Grubb, who revealed that Horizon Forbidden West could indeed be delayed to 2022. Grubb says he heard some rumblings that the game will be delayed but also clarified that this is only what he is hearing at the moment, nothing more.
"Hi, I did basically say this. I tried to clarify that this is what I'm hearing and not that it's a sure thing," Grubb commented on the Reddit post about the delay rumour.
On top of this, he revealed that Sony's big games showcase could be scheduled for September 2021. Whether or not this is true, it's hard to say, we suggest you take everything with a grain of salt just like any other rumour or unconfirmed report.
It's also worth mentioning that Grubb is one of the most reliable insiders out there, so definitely don't throw this one out of the window just yet.
