Gameplay and character models from Sucker Punch's cancelled game Prophecy have surfaced over at 4chan. A long gameplay demo showcases stealth kills, interesting combat and setting.

Ghost of Tsushima developer Sucker Punch Productions have been working on a completely different project before their samurai action-adventure. A game called Prophecy was in the works at the studio but unfortunately, it was cancelled due to unknown reasons.

Today, we have eleven minutes of gameplay footage from the game. It looks like this was potentially a gameplay demo for E3 reveal since many of the game's mechanics have been showcased in the video.

The game looks similar to The Order 1886 and also gives strong A Plague Tale: Innocence vibes with a bit of Assassin's Creed. The gameplay revolves around sneaking, stealth kills but we also got to see some pretty interesting combat mechanics. See it for yourself  here.

Judging by the gameplay, Prophecy can switch from third-person to the first-person view in certain scenes and there is also alchemy and climbing mechanics. And while the game does look interesting with its setting, we would say it lacks true identity and it does not really stand out like many other PlayStation 4 exclusives do.

That could be the reason why Sony decided to move on from the project and we doubt players will be unhappy with the decision, which ultimately led to Ghost of Tsushima.

Thanks, 4chan.
