Rockstar Games offered fans a tentative glimpse into the future of GTA Online and Red Dead Online, the former of which will supposedly get an update that dwarfs others in comparison.
Both GTA Online and Red Dead Online had more players than ever in the past few months with Coronavirus undoubtedly increasing the numbers due to players staying at home. Rockstar are keen on keeping the players focused on these games as they announced two new updates are coming in the near future.
In the case of GTA Online, Rockstar noted that a summer update is on the way with "a fun mix of diverse new content" which should spice things up for those who found the loop of doing activities, purchasing businesses and goods, back to activities a bit stale.
According to the official post, it will not be just another content update but rather "the biggest ever update for GTA Online" and considering the scale of the likes of Doomsday Heist or Casino Heist, we are most likely in for a treat. The "latest take on heists" is apparently in a brand new location which should give players even more crazy things to do in Los Santos.
Red Dead Online players will not be left out in the cold either. In fact, it will be them who will get the first big update. A new Frontier Pursuit will appear on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, and bring along a new role as well as a new Outlaw Pass.
Furthermore, it will include community-requested fixes and features as well as "more to play and discover in the months to come".
