GTA Online - how to trigger the Chiliad mystery mission legally

Last week a group named The Gurus found some clues to the mystery of the mount Chiliad. The mission was also triggered illegally, by changing a global variable to 20. This week a Reddit post shows you how to do it legally, but it will require some serious grind work.

A modding (or hacking) group who call themselves The Gurus managed to find clues related to a long-dormant mystery of the mount Chiliad. The mission arrived on 13 June as a part of GTA Online’s Gunrunning update. 

Shortly after that, it was discovered that a secret mission can be triggered by messing with the game’s tunables. Tunables are files that can be updated by Rockstar in order to put in live content hidden in the game code.

It was first discovered by the . The mission was finally (forcibly) triggered after the team changed a global variable to 20. It is named Alien Egg Supply Run and it involves going on a supply run, stealing a couple of eggs, killing some aliens and going back to your bunker. Who would have guessed?!

All that is well and good, but if you want to trigger the mission legitimately, you'd better be prepared to grind. A lot. I mean when did anything worth having (legitimately) come with zero effort.

Let's go through the legitimate steps you will have to take in order to gain access to the mysterious Alien Egg Supply Run. Buckle up. 

First off, you have to complete a total of 600 Gunrunning sales. You can have more, in fact the post recommends 601 "to be safe lol". Then you'll need to "start a supply run between: 21:00hrs and 23:00hrs". That's it, and people are not happy about it.
