The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is now available on PC, Switch and PlayStation 4. The release is accompanied by a collection of games previously only available to Japanese fans.
Capcom's The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is sending out subpoenas and taking depositions starting today. The court is now in session on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam). The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is available digitally across all platforms.
A new collection will bring The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve to the party. The collection was previously only available in Japan so some new voiceover was recorded in English. The fans can play the games with the newly recorded dialogue or in the original Japanese with subtitles.
A digital bundle with The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is also available on Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles - Story mode
A new addition to the Ace franchise is the Story Mode. The new mode will clue the players into the game's story without any additional detective work necessary. This could prove somewhat dull in any other game series, but the "sit back and watch the action unfold" approach works for the courtroom drama game.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles - setting
The late 19th century offers up a stunning backdrop for the shenanigans of an aspiring Japanese lawyer named Ryunosuke Naruhodo and his friends: Susato Mikotoba and Herlock Sholmes.
The game will also introduce two new gameplay mechanics: "Dance of Deduction" and "Summation Examination".
The Dance of Deduction will see players toning down Sholmes' outlandish theories and finding the truth somewhere in the middle.
Summation Examination will give the players a chance to call out any inconsistencies among jurors’ statements.
Players who purchase The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles by August 31, 2021, at 23:59 BST / CEST will also receive the "From the Vaults" Early Purchase Bonus – a collection of 54 art and music pieces that contains some never-before-released content.
