The release date of the Zhongli banner isn't officially confirmed yet but considering that Childe's banner is ending on April 27 and it will last for three, we can expect Childe's banner to arrive around that date.
One of the most frequently asked questions is, who will be the four-star characters joining Zhongli on the banner. Considering that he's become one of the fan-favourite characters, we could expect a slightly weaker four-star lineup. Having a character on a banner will significantly increase his drop rate for its duration.
Zhongli didn't receive much love when he was initially released a couple of months due to the lack of damage and shield power he provided. However, quickly went from "being useless" to becoming one of the strongest characters in a game and a must-have for any late-game team composition due to a couple of strong buffs.
As for the prediction, there are four rules by which four-star characters are appearing on the banner:
- First of all, the banner cannot include the starting characters Amber, Keaya or Lisa
- Characters cannot appear two patches in a row
- There has to be at least one four-star character that uses the same talent ascension books as the main five-star
- Four-star characters usually don't share the same elements

Yanfei is a new Genshin Impact character and she's already been confirmed for the banner. The question is, who will be the remaining two characters? One of the characters will probably be Diona, simply based on the number of banners she has skipped by now. The last character on the banner will most likely be either Noelle or Ningguang. But even though Ningguand missed way more banners than Noelle, she's one of the most popular four-star characters in the game and this banner is pretty good without her.
This means that the characters that have the highest chance to make it on the banner are:
- Zhongli
- Yanfei
- Diona
- Noelle or Ningguang
