Epic Games Store rotates their freebies every Thursday and the one on June 3, 2021, is going to be Frostpunk.
Pretty much everyone who tried also loved Frostpunk, the hit from 11 bit studios that introduced many players to the genre of strategic city building. While the game never cost an arm and a leg, the price did present a barrier for some players who still couldn't afford it.
That's where the next EGS freebie comes in as the game is expected to cost exactly nothing when the next rotation comes along. You will be able to pick up Frostpunk from June 3 through 10. The freebie rotation happens at 5:00 PM CEST / 4:00 PM BST / 3:00 PM UTC / 8:00 AM PDT / 11:00 AM EDT.
If you're not familiar with game for some reason, it is a visually beautiful game set in a hard neverending winter that drove humanity close to extinction. The only way to survive is in the steam cities, one of which you operate as the mayor. Depending on your ability to manage and sacrifice resources, you might help your community survive, cause it to collapse or get killed yourself, should the citizens be driven to desperation.
