Some players claim that they have already received their invitations for Forza Motorsport playtesting, which has been announced recently. Apparently, the playtesting is set for May 2021.
A couple of weeks ago, developer Turn 10 Studios have officially announced that they will be hosting a closed playtest for a small number of players very soon. On the same day, Turn 10 also confirmed that applications are open and if you would like to test the game in its early stage, you can do that here.
One thing that the devs did not reveal during the live stream is the launch date of the playtest. However, it looks like some players have received their invitations via email , which reportedly states that the playtest will take place in May 2021.
This will certainly come as a surprise to many who did not expect playtesting so soon in 2021, especially since the game is not expected to launch this year. However, since this is not official info, don't take it as gospel. It's possible that Turn 10 won't even announce the dates publicly since the playtesting is under strict NDA.
Forza Motorsport is currently in development exclusively for Xbox Series X, Series S and PC platforms. The Xbox One version is yet to be announced and judging by the complete overhaul of the engine, we doubt it will ever arrive to the last-gen hardware.
