Epic Games have officially confirmed the Batman-themed crossover event for Fortnite. The full reveal of the event is coming on Saturday, 21 November 2019, 8:00 AM ET / 2:00 PM CET.
Earlier this week, well known Fortnite data miners discovered clues in the game's latest files, suggesting at a potential Batman-themed crossover event . The findings included several Batman gadgets such as Batarangs, Grapnel Gun and Bat Cape along with a new map of Gotham City, which features the legendary Bat-Signal spotlight, beaming into the sky.
As always, the game files didn't lie and Epic Games have today officially confirmed that "FortniteXBatman" crossover event is coming to their online shooter. The details about the collab are pretty scarce at the moment but the full reveal is coming on Saturday, 21 November 2019, 8:00 AM ET / 2:00 PM CET. The whole thing will be streamed live on Fortnite YouTube channel so make sure to tune in tomorrow if Batsy and Fortnite are your favourites.
While the data mine discovered some of the features we'll get to see in the new crossover event, Epic Games probably have a lot more Batman-themed stuff up their sleeve. We may get unique game modes like the one in the Avengers crossover event.
Additionally, in celebration of 80 years since the Caped Crusader appeared to fight for justice for the first time, and of course, as a promotion for their crossover event, Epic Games are also offering six Batman games for free on Epic Games Store. Yes, you read that right, you can grab Batman Arkham Collection and Lego Batman Trilogy for free in the next six days and they are yours forever. The offer expires on Thursday, 26 September 2019.
And while many Fortnite players are eagerly awaiting to see what's the crossover event all about, Batman fans are probably wondering if this crossover and freebies on Epic Games Store have something to do with the next Batman game from Rocksteady.
Of course, many would love to see another game in the Arkham franchise but at the moment, there is nothing official, only a lot of false rumours. Hopefully, that changes in the near future.
