Everyone is eagerly awaiting Fortnite Battle Royale's debut on Android devices, and Epic Games keep teasing us regularly. For example, there are hints that the game won't be available on Google Play Store and a reveal of compatible devices.
Fortnite Mobile might not be coming to Google Play Store, as hidden code on suggests. There are a few lines within the code that instruct users how to download and instal Fortnite Mobile. One line in particular mentions a few security permissions that are necessary when running the game outside of Google Play Store.
It is currently unclear why exactly the game might not be on Google Play Store, but Epic Games have managed to completely circumvent Steam on PC and do so with extreme success. Now that Fortnite is world-famous, it will be even easier for them to avoid third party retailers, and simply let the game out of their own store, instead of Google Play. Either way, you can check out the leaked code on .
Meanwhile, a new list of Fortnite-compatible devices has surfaced hinting that the game is rather well optimised, which isn't much of a surprise, as Epic Games have done so on other platforms as well. At launch, Fortnite will support about 40 devices coming from Samsung, Huawei, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Sony, Google and Razer.
You can check the full list of devices , but if your device is not on it, you shouldn't be discouraged. You can compare your phone's specs with the ones on the list and if it matches or exceedes the specification, it is fairly certain your device will be compatible in the future, as it's just a matter of time when Epic Games will finish testing the game on it, in order to whitelist the device.
