After quite a few delays, Epic Games are finally rolling out Fortnite's Chapter 2: Season 2, and it looks like the dev is totally into the spy-games theme this time around. Ghost and Shadow covert operatives have taken over, so choose wisely.
Epic's description reads, "The island has been taken over by covert operatives - Ghost and Shadow - and its fate is in your hands. Will you join the fight?"
Of course, it goes without saying that Fortnite players will, while the rest will be a thing of preference. Epic are promising exotic new locations throughout the island in Season 2. In fact, if you go "off-the-grid", you're likely to find some diabolically evil-lair reminiscent POI hideouts across the map.
Fortnite's Chapter 2: Season 2 is getting a raid-like dimension too with Limited Time Operations, which should certainly be interesting. Players will get to infiltrate enemy bases, deal with the evil henchmen and hopefully take care of their leader, for which they'll be rewarded with unique weapons that pack a mean punch.
Moreover, there's even a touch of Team Fortress here, as Epic wrote, "Break into hideouts with secret passages, take out auto-turrets and security cameras, and use new gadgets like Decoy Grenades, Proximity Mines, and Disguise to sabotage rival Agents."
Naturally, no new Fortnite season comes without a slew of cosmetic goodies, and the Chapter 2: Season 2 Battle Pass has a ton of interesting things. Even if cosmetics are not your thing, be honest - prancing around as Deadpool is not something many would say no to.
As we've come to expect from Epic in Chapter 2, Season 2 doesn't come with detailed patch notes either, so players are unfortunately doomed to actually go in and feel the changes for themselves, before heading to Reddit to issue a long list of complaints based on numbers alone.
