Epic's festive end to the train wreck that was 2020 is certainly a welcome one, and their first mystery game has been confirmed to be Cities: Skylines.
"Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating and maintaining a real city whilst expanding on some well-established tropes of the city building experience."
Developed by Colossal Order and published by Paradox, Cities: Skylines is an awesome city builder that well worth the premium price, so picking it up should be a no-brainer.
Fans of the genre who recall Sim City, the heavyweight of its class, should know that this is the game that finally took that belt home. And quite deservedly so, if we may add.
At the heart of Cities: Skylines is a an extensive local traffic simulation, courtesy of the dev's past work, but you'll see soon enough.
It was launched back in 2015, but its excellence doesn't age. If you happen to bite and still want to show support for the dev, you can always go for the DLC content, of course.
As usual, Epic are having festivities with free games involved, and Epic will be giving out 15 games in the upcoming period. Yes, this means every 24 hours, so hopefully you won't be missing any.
Cities: Skylines is likely to keep your attention for more than 15 days, so you may want to periodically check the Epic Games client for new freebies. We suspect Epic will have some sort of big surprise towards the end, but that's more of a feeling than fact, so grain of salt and all.
