Far Cry 5 seems to have made itself quite comfortable in UK's boxed sales charts, coming in first for the third time running. Having said that, there haven't been any new releases in the past weeks, which does slightly diminish the title.
Lack of new titles would suggest the chart stayed unchanged, but there was some reshuffling and even two new additions to the top 10.
Top of the chart, however, remains mostly unchanged, with Far Cry 5 and FIFA 18 coming in first and second, respectively. Ubisoft's sales dropped by 45 percent on-week though, compared to FIFA 18's seven per cent drop.
Grenee's PUBG remains firmly fifth while Sea of Thieves seems to be continuing its downward trend, dropping from third to sixth this week.
Interestingly enough, Fallout 4 seems to be the only game who actually reported increased sales, by 12 percent no less. In fact, this past week or two have been described as so boring that selling 3,500 would be enough for any game to get into the top 10.
Naturally, don't take these positions for actual estimations, because this is just about physical copies. This tends to skewer the image somewhat, seeing as how it doesn't cover digital sales.
As you can see, there are some pretty big heavyweights who are missing from the list, many of them simply not having boxed copies. Therefore, the chart is more of a trivia piece than something to base any sort of argument on.
The remainder of the UK boxed chart looks like this:
- Far Cry 5
- FIFA 18
- Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
- Grand Theft Auto 5
- PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
- Sea of Thieves
- Fallout 4
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Gran Turismo Sport
- Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy
