Fangtopia is a spooky kingdom-building puzzle game launching on PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 on 26 October.

Developer Absolutely Games and publisher Secret Mode will release their spooky kingdom builder Fangtopia on 26 October. Available on PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Stove), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, Fangtopia is a calm, scare-free puzzler that tasks players with building the biggest kingdom they can.

Despite Fangtopia’s ominous aesthetic, players won’t encounter any jump scares or feelings of panic while playing. Instead, players are tasked with strategically placing a series of hexagonal tiles to build up their kingdom. While there are objectives to complete, players can build at their own pace.

Different tiles will naturally connect to form cities, forests, and more. The more efficient players can be when connecting their tiles, the more points they earn. Points can be used to unlock special landmarks and complete objectives that reward players with new tiles.

Players can expand their islands out towards eerie portals in the water, which teleport various creatures and characters into players’ tiles.

Players will find characters such as:

  • Scarecrows
  • Giants
  • Werewolves
  • and more spooky characters

Players will be able to track the creatures they find and tiles they unlock in a sticker book. Completionists will no doubt love filling up this book with every possible sprite.

Fangtopia features a few game modes that will cater to all types of players. Those who want to play around with high scores can try and top the global leaderboards, while more casual players can take their time building pretty kingdoms.

All game modes can be played without enabling leaderboards for players who don’t want to worry about scoring at all.
