Fallout franchise is in a rough spot at the moment, thanks to Fallout 76's shortcomings but thankfully, it is not included in the legacy pack Bethesda will be offering on 25 October 2019.
Fallout Legacy is coming on 25 October 2019 which is a quite peculiar date, since it's the same day The Outer Worlds is coming out. The latter has been hailed as the Fallout fans wanted but never got as Bethesda slipped them Fallout 76 instead. Furthermore, it is developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the same guys that are behind Fallout New Vegas.
There are too many interesting points there for this to be just a coincidence but it is all just speculation at this point since neither Bethesda nor Obsidian spoke about competing with one another directly. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is also releasing on the same day, which will certainly impact Fallout Legacy's sales negatively.
The bundle itself will include six games in total:
- Fallout 2
- Fallout Tactics
- Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition
- Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition
- Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition
It will cost $39.99 and will presumably translate into €39.99 / £34.99 for Europe. Granted, this looks like a really good deal since there are six games that will get players to sink hundreds of hours into them but keep in mind they are ranging from four years old to 22 years old. None of them have been remastered to this day unless you count modders doing great work with improving Creation Engine games' graphics.
Then again, those mods make Fallout 3 and subsequent games look much better than Fallout 76 which is the most recent entry in the series. Unfortunately, console players will not get the bundle for the time being, as the official announcement mentioned only a PC version.
