Bethesda have posted a warning on Twitter, regarding one of literally game breaking bugs. In case of a screen freeze or hanging, players should not touch any buttons or their Fallout 76 game files could be completely erased from the disk.
Players have come to expect bugs from Bethesda games over the years but it seems Fallout 76 is taking them to next level. Even before the game's official release, it is threatening to completely remove any game files from your PC.
According to an official Tweet from Bethesda, they are "aware of an issue" and are urging players not to click any buttons on the client. This particular issue apparently causes the client to freeze, which could initially prompt players to click a button or two in anticipation, and probably because it's irritating looking at a frozen screen.
As it happens, clicking buttons on this frozen screen could potentially remove 50GB of data from a player's hard drive, which would force them to download everything again. Those with somewhat slower connections could find this particularly painful. The pain is only amplified further by the fact that the beta events happen only in limited time frames, which could mean loss of said time by having to download the data again.
Bethesda decided to make up for this by extending the beta event on Thursday, 01 November 2018. While it was supposed to last for five hours, it will now be to a total of nine hours.
While it's rather unfortunate if someone loses their downloaded files, they might still get the same amount of play time. Meanwhile, those who didn't have these issues will get additional four hours of play time.

Considering this is one of the longest beta events so far, there should be plenty of new gameplay footage for those who are not exactly sold on the game and might need to see more than just the first few hours of gameplay.
