According to the latest news from Rumourville, Fortnite's next character will be coming from the Street Fighter universe, but if you're more into pretty pictures, Epic have you covered there too.
For all the berating of Fortnite's playerbase as "just kids bro", they don't get half the credit for the creativity they tend to display.
Thankfully, Epic are not the ones to waste creative talents, and we've picked two of our favourites, but we'll leave a link to Fortnite developer's picks.
We reckon they had a much tougher job sifting through the admissions, and it's actually scary considering the size Fortnite's playerbase, but we all make sacrifices, right?
The cover image is by Fortnite player Spice_The_Cube, and Epic's caption reads, "Had to at least take two weeks to make". This sounds about right and although the focus was not on the fort itself, everything about the photo screams "cool".
As for the Fortography below, it was made by jemFleaks, with Epic's caption reading, "Enter if you dare". Now, yours truly can't really put a finger on why the image is so appealing - is it volumetrics? Size of the darn thing? Dedication by jemFleaks? Personal Morrowind infatuation?

In somewhat related news, rumour has it that Epic's interdimensional pathways are preparing a crossover with Capcom's legendary fighting series, Street Fighter. To be fair, the new portal images are so iconic and unmistakably Street Fighter that this is more like news than a rumour.
It'll be interesting to see who makes it through the portal, as Street Fighter has a hefty roster filled with quite a few legendary characters.
