Epic Games has 6 new games in the making one of which is Battle Breakers
At first glance Battle Breakers looks oddly geared for the Asian market with its art-style and a cross-platfrom free-to-play stretch over mobile and PC. A large portion of the company has been gobbled up by the Chinese media giant Tencent a few years back. There is a bit of a contradiction between the financial side of things, the first impression the presented footage makes and statements made by Tim Sweeney CEO of Epic Games in an interview with claiming that "Epic Games is determined to go back to their roots and go directly to users without publisher relations".
Battle Breakers is aiming for a 80's Saturday morning cartoon vibe and the released story blurbs fit the theme quite well.
