Capcom just dropped a truckload of weapon trailers for the upcoming Monster Hunter: World - 14 of them to be exact. You can now have a look at the game's arsenal from bows, over gunlances, all the way to swords and shields.
There are several schools of thought when it comes to organising promotional material. Capcom seems to subscribe to the quantity over clarity philosophy for their weapons trailers. The company has just dropped 14 separate trailers for the various weapons in the upcoming Monster Hunter: World.
It might be that Capcom is trying to figure out which one of the announced weapon sets will be the most popular with players, it may be a strange way of structuring the release in order to more easily interpret feedback, or it could just be a PR stunt - because 14 trailers sounds a lot better than just one.
Except for a few spin-offs for the Chinese market, the Monster Hunter franchise has been a console exclusive in the past, and the World entry to the series will be the first AAA shot at bringing the series over to PC and western markets.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are scheduled for an early 2018 launch, with the PC port coming sometime after that.
