Techland have shared a brand new Dying Light 2 video, where Tymon Smektała, Lead Game Designer of Dying Light 2 has answered some of the most frequent questions from the players.

After many many months of radio silence, Techland, the developer behind the highly-anticipated open-world zombie survival game Dying Light 2, have shared a bunch of fresh info about the game over the last several weeks.

First, we found out that the development of the game is progressing well and more recently, the team confirmed they will be talking more about their project in the coming months. Perhaps at the upcoming E3?

Anyway, today, Techland have shared an AMA video, where Tymon Smektała, Lead Game Designer has talked about the map size, weapons, zombies and much more. Check it out below:

Smektala states that the open world in Dying Light 2 will be at least two times bigger than the one in Dying Light. The exact size of the map is close to seven square kilometres but he also points out that there's a lot of vertically in the world like big skyscrapers, buildings with at least two floors and much more.

Additionally, the dev also talk about some new zombies types and whether the presence of the undead will be higher depending on the time of day. You can expect a higher number of zombies wandering the streets during the night, as don't expect the streets to be empty during the day.

All in all, these are some nice little details to keep the hype train at full speed while we wait for more info in the coming months.

Dying Light 2 is currently in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
