Dragon's Dogma 2 is finally coming, Capcom officially announced. Here is everything we know about the game so far.
Update June 17, 2022: Capcom have officially announced that a brand new Dragon's Dogma game is now in development. According to the official announcement, Hideaki Itsuno will return to direct the sequel with the help of Dragon’s Dogma veterans Daigo Ikeno and Kenichi Suzuki.
Other than that and the logo below, Capcom did not reveal any additional info but have promised that more details about the game will be shared in the future. We will be updating the article as publisher share new trailers, screenshots and more.

Original Story: It's been more than nine years since the first Dragon's Dogma game launched on PS3 and Xbox 360. Despite the critical acclaim, Capcom never bothered with the sequel, which many many fans of the franchise still eagerly await.
However, that is about to change since we know Dragon' Dogma 2 actually exists thanks to leaked Capcom documents . As we wait for the official reveal, let's list everything we know about the game at this moment.
Dragon's Dogma 2 Release Date
Capcom's leaked documents revealed the company's release schedule for in-development games. Dragon’s Dogma 2's release window was set for Q2 FY22 (In Japan, the fiscal year is from April 1 to March 31) but keep in mind that these are almost certainly out of date so don't expect the game to launch this year. Our guess would be mid or late 2023.
Dragon's Dogma 2 Rumours
Reliable Capcom insider Dusk Golem stated that the game will be using RE Engine , Capcom's in house engine which they use for the majority of their games nowadays.
On top of this, we have another rumour , which states that the team is satisfied with what they have achieved with the expanded RE Engine, especially in dungeons.
The same rumour states that the game would utilise some limited ray tracing implementation. Last but not least, some combat sequences in large open areas have allegedly brought dev-kits to their knees.
Last year we got a Reddit leak , which stated that Capcom are working on an RPG which would basically be Dragon's Dogma reboot. Apparently, the game would feature large regions with some sort of settlement mechanics and vastly improved character creation among other things.

The Reddit leak we've just mentioned also included some details about the story. The leaker mentions that the Arisen will wear a mask that cannot be removed and it's all tied to a curse. Apparently "break the curse" is the provisional tagline for the game.
Other than this, there aren't really many details about Dragon's Dogma 2 out there. Guess we will have to wait for Capcom's official reveal, which could be coming soon. Until then, we will update this article with new bits of info, if we found any out there.
