Ditto is wreaking havoc in Pokemon Go on April 1, 2022, as players are scrambling to figure out which Pokemon are true to their form.
Just like most video game devs of the modern-day, Niantic decided to provide their fans with a light-hearted joke on April 1, 2022, and it's quite the mind boggler.
Anyone who gets in can claim Special Research from Professor Willow on April 1, until 11:59 PM local time. That's a minute before midnight.
Anyway, onto the bamboozling of the player base we go. Niantic employed Ditto to mess with the players as this creature will assume forms of other Pokemon for the day.
Pokemon that can turn out to be the jiggly shapeshifter are:
- Ekans
- Gastly
- Natu
- Surskit
- Finneon
- Dwebble
- Surlix
Lucky trainers will bump into the Shiny version of these Pokemon but keep in mind that any of them can actually turn out to be Ditto. On that note, you can also encounter a Shiny Ditto.
Another result of Ditto's tricks is that the creature will appear more often in the wild.
Trainers who invest themselves into the event can get themed stickers by spinning PokeStops, opening Gifts and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
It all sounds great but those who get Ditto a few times too many will probably get enraged.
