DIRT 5's new trailer focuses on the game's Career mode. The mode will feature five chapters, over 130 events across nine race types and Throwdown challenges. DIRT 5 will launch on October 9 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam). The game is also coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
The game's Career mode centres around the ‘DIRT Series’: a global racing event across various disciplines, featuring the world’s greatest off-road racers. The player starts their career going up against a line-up that includes superstar and fan favourite, Alex ‘AJ’ Janiček and Bruno Durand - the game's antagonist.
DIRT 5 will feature a renowned cast which includes Troy Baker (AJ) and Nolan North (Bruno) voicing the main characters. The career is tied together with the help of James Pumphrey and Nolan Sykes from racing enthusiasts Donut Media. The duo will interview AJ and Bruno after every major event in the game.
The podcast will include special guests including current W Series World Champion, Jamie Chadwick and YouTube star, SLAPTrain.
DIRT 5's career mode will be split into five chapters, each allowing players to choose which event they want to play. The player can earn Stamps needed to unlock the Main Event by ranking high in every match they complete. Progression to the next chapter will be locked behind a competitive final challenge.
Throwdown challenges will also be peppered through the experience. Once these are unlocked, players face the ultimate one-on-one challenge against a fierce competitor from the world circuit.
