Bungie's surprise for the next Guardian Games in Destiny 2 has seen the light of day before they would have liked it and now we know all the details about the new SMG.
Destiny 2 will have a new SMG, called The Title, which will be themed after the Guardian Games event. Speaking of which, the event is starting on May 3, 2022, on the weekly reset.
Anyway, the SMG is shooting 750 rounds per minute and features the Classy Contender origin trait, causing the weapon to restore class ability energy on kills.
Furthermore, the entire perk list has leaked so here are the fun ones, from the third and fourth columns.
Third column:
- Perpetual Motion
- Grave Robber
- Steady Hands
- Hip-Fire Grip
- Dynamic Sway Reduction
- Stats for All
- Threat Detector
Fourth Column:
- Focused Fury
- Turnabout
- Moving Target
- One for All
- Vorpal Weapon
- Surrounded
- Swashbuckler
The usual suspects for the best perks for PvE like Rampage and Subsistence aren't around but the weapon does have many good PvP combinations.
For example, Dynamic Sway Reduction and Moving Target will make you highly mobile and precise at the same time while strafing. With Ricochet Rounds from the second column, you can have some pretty good range for an SMG or with High-Caliber Rounds, you can become a flinch machine.

Steady Hands is also going to be a popular pick and depending on how hard farming the weapon ends up being, we might see a bunch of sprayers in the Crucible next season, especially because shotguns are going to be less frequent with the reduced ammo availability.
