CD Projekt Red have officially confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will have live gameplay on E3 2019, meaning that the game will be played by the developers in one of the public zones. Also, exclusive footage will be shown behind closed doors.
Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most anticipated games of the last decade is set for another E3 appearance in just a couple of weeks. Earlier rumours suggested that CD Projekt Red will reveal the target release date and new gameplay on the show, and today, the developer officially confirmed one part of that rumour.
According to CD Projekt Red's Global Community Lead Marcin Momot, Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable on E3 2019, meaning that the devs will host gameplay presentations in one of the public zones on E3. However, the game will be played live by the devs, guests won't be able to try it out.
Furthermore, CD Projekt Red will also host another gameplay presentation, behind closed doors, but Momot didn't go into details on these showings. He only mentioned that they will be different, which could mean a different location, time of day, mission or something else.
Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 team did not share additional details about these gameplay presentations. We don't know if CD Projekt Red are planning to reveal another long gameplay video just like last year or maybe show us something they didn't talk about yet. The good thing is that E3 is just around the corner so we won't have to wait too long before we get our eyes on this sci-fi candy.
As we already mentioned, earlier rumours suggested that CD Projekt Red will finally reveal the target release date for Cyberpunk 2077 on E3 2019. Of course, this doesn't mean we're getting a specific launch date, it will probably be something like "Spring 2020" or simply "Coming 2020".
Earlier this year, CD Projekt Red President Adam Kicinski said that this year's E3 Expo will be the most important ever in the studio's history. They prepared a strong keynote and fully expect to beat the last year's show when the first Cyberpunk 2077 trailer was revealed.
