CD Projekt Red's upcoming RPG shooter Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on Google's cloud-based gaming platform named Stadia. Google officially announced the news during their latest Stadia Connect live stream event at Gamescom 2019.
One of the most anticipated games in the last few years, CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 has been a major talking point for quite some time after the appearance and the release date reveal at E3 2019.
In the last few weeks, CD Projekt Red didn't share anything new about the game as they wanted to save all the juicy details for this years Gamescom, which officially kicks off today.
One of the biggest news that Polish developer have for all players who are eagerly awaiting the new game is that Cyberpunk 2077 will arrive to Google Stadia, along with PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
This has been officially confirmed by Google during their latest Stadia Connect live stream event in which the company showcased some of the new titles that are joining their cloud-based gaming platform.
The live stream showcased official dev diary in which, CD Projekt Red developers talked about Google Stadia and how exactly will the new platform benefit their game and players.
"This project is of the scale that we've never tackled before, the ambition is crazy and something like Stadia really allows more people to experience our stories. Everyone will get to experience the same awesome story, quests and locations," Senior Level Designer Miles Tost said.
Principal Writer Jakub Szamalek said that Cyberpunk 2077 is very technologically demanding and that Google Stadia allow many players to play the game in its full glory regardless of the strength of their hardware.
At the moment, it is unknown if Cyberpunk 2077 will arrive to Google Stadia on 16 April 2019, which is the set release date for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.
