This year's Reboot Developer conference in Dubrovnik, Croatia, has finally started and not a minute too late. Perhaps it was only fitting for the domestic team to announce a game, as Croteam revealed Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass is coming.
Croteam have timed their reveal impeccably, ensuring that the new Serious Sam trailer simultaneously debuts at Reboot as well as on Youtube and . They claim the new Sam features "gameplay on a brutally bigger scale, and not a single desert level", the last of which most likely a dig at PUBG.
While it may not reveal much, the trailer does show that Croteam are not keen on letting the good old Serious Sam recipe go to waste. Yeah, the bomb-head kamikaze guys are back in numbers and Sam seems to slowly gravitate towards Duke Nukem, before he ended up sucking big time.
Croteam Incubator
Croteam have been busy as of late, not least with the Croteam Incubator, a gaming development powerhouse that the Croatians built up in their return to glory. The Incubator houses several teams under one roof and they've already announced .
Well, add another to the list as Serious Sam is going back after years of being tied to VR remasters and whatnot. It's no secret we're not the biggest fans of reboots and we must admit we were wondering when good ol' Sam is coming back properly.
CroTeam
Croteam claim the Reboot reveal it's just an announcement, whereas the full reveal will take place at the Devolver Digital E3 conference. This means we'll have to wait until June 2018 in Los Angeles to hear more, but we'll try to dig out more information by then.
For now, you can hop over and put it on your wishlist. With our main man Telxvi in the field, expect to hear much more today and in the following days. With the list of speakers packing some seriously high profile names, we can't wait to see what Reboot brings this year.
