CD Projekt Red are hosting a competition that will see 12-15 winners have their original music in Cyberpunk 2077's brand new radio station, coming with Phantom Libery expansion.
Interestingly, the new radio station will exclusively play music made by Cyberpunk 2077 fans. CD Projekt Red today announced that they are hosting a competition to allow fans to have their music in the game.
"Create a music track fit for a Night City headliner for a chance to win awesome prizes! Like what? Well, how about having your track in the game?! We’re looking for fresh music to feature in our new community radio station Growl FM," CD Projekt Red say.
CD Projekt Red asks that fans create their original music in any style or genre and can make a song with vocals in English, Spanish, Japanese or Chinese language. The track should be two to three minutes long.
The publisher were very clear those who decide to make a track for the radio should not sample any copyright-protected music nor compy lyrics or lines from other songs or films. And if that isn't obvious, the songs should not include any offensive content.
The winners will receive quite a big reward in $3,000 cash prize, a Cyberpunk 2077 goodie bag and iZotope Elements Suite which is a plugin for music production. All in all, this certainly is a great way for Cyberpunk 2077 fans and small music producers to make a name for themselves in Night City but also in real life.
The contest has officially begun today and will run until November 30, 2022, at 16:00 CET. 2. Winners will be announced publicly by January 31, 2023, at the latest.
You can find more details about the competition on Cyberpunk 2077 website.
