Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is suffering from an illness called 725, a shotgun that can act as a sniper. Normally, player bases complain about various polarising weapons but here are enough highlights to prove this thing needs to get hit by a nerf bat.

Players in competitive shooters often complain about weapons, which is not enough to classify it as overpowered. However, the case with CoD:MW's 725 is a bit different since an overwhelming majority in the player base keeps posting videos about why it's ridiculous.

For instance, one player posted what is probably the longest shotgun kill ever in Call of Duty series, using the now-infamous two-barrelled monstrosity. Granted, the shot took great skill to account for the massive bullet drop and the player used slug rounds for an increased range.

However, this is not always the case and players using the 12 gauge shells also tend to score fairly long range kills with 725. In that particular video, the 725 user didn't use slugs - they have black shells that can be seen when reloading while the ones in question were the 12 gauge red shells.

On the other hand, when 725 wielders equip slugs, they tend to have incredible lethality at mid-range , without having to scope in, as an assault rifle or sniper rifle wielder would.

All of this contributes to the frustrating experience where players tend to make a few steps and get instantly dropped by a shotgun that proved to be superior to all the other weapons at their disposal.

Upon being on the receiving end of 725s and claymores one too many times, one of Twitch's most recognised streamers, Guy "DrDisRespect" Beahm, rage quit a match after he got killed twice, in quick succession. The first kill was by a 725 camper and the second by a claymore while trying to flank said camper.

In regular circumstances, a rage quit is a bad thing but this time around it feels justified as there was apparently no way to play the game effectively without one becoming a camper themself.

At least we got a decent meme or two out of the whole situation.
