People Can Fly, the developer of Bulletstorm, Outriders, Painkiller and Gears of War: Judgment have officially announced that they are working on a new original IP, AAA action-adventure for next-gen consoles, PC and streaming platforms.
Independent developer People Can Fly today announced ambitious plans which include the development of a new original AAA title, currently planned for release on next-generation consoles, PC and streaming platforms.
This new project is led by People Can Fly New York studio which will hire dozen of new staff over the next year to work on the game. People Can Fly New York will work hand-in-hand with its sister studios in Warsaw, Rzeszow, and Newcastle to build "a highly ambitious, groundbreaking action-adventure title that takes PCF’s nearly two decades of development expertise in a new direction".
Additionally, the developer will also open a new startup studio in Montreal to match the scale of the new project. At the moment, the details about the game are pretty scarce but hopefully, we'll hear more about the project over the next year, as the studio start full development.
"It's rare to ever get the chance to work on an original AAA game in today's world, never mind being part of the origination process," said Roland Lesterlin, Creative Director at People Can Fly New York. "We're looking for brilliant and curious people to help us shape the vision of this incredible new world we're building."
People Can Fly is currently developing Outriders with Square Enix, set for release later this year, and is known for Bulletstorm titles as well as co-developing several titles in the Gears of War series.
