Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil remasters for Xbox One get a release date

Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil have been remastered for Xbox One by Nightdive Studios. The new versions have been enhanced with a new visual engine with new features. The two games will be available for Xbox One in early March.

Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil have been remastered for Xbox One and both games will launch on 02 March 2018, announced developer Nightdive Studios. As of now, both Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil are available for PC.

Turok was first released back in 1997, and introduced gamers to a 3D world full of enemies, traps, puzzles and deadly weapons. The new version has been enhanced with a new visual engine and a couple of new features.

The first game follows the story of the time travelling warrior Turok who has vowed to find the eight pieces of the Chronoscepter before the main baddie does. This will prevent the evil overlord to shred the fabric of time and rule the universe, a feat which he plans to accomplish through the use of his focusing array.

Turok's key features include a variety of weapons from the Grenade Launcher, Plasma Pulse Rifle and Alien Weapon, to the Quad Rocket Launcher and the Atomic Fusion Cannon. Turok will use these weapons to survive in the world inhabited by Razor-toothed Raptors, Artillery-packing Triceratops, Alien Infantry and a Laser-Guided T-Rex.

Turok 2: Seeds of Evil's story picks up after the titular hero has had the chance to destroy the Chronocepter. By throwing the McGuffin into a volcano, Turok managed to interrupt The Primagen's nap.

The cranky Primagen now wants to merge the Earth with "the nether world", which sends the hero on another quest. Turok 2 features 35 different types of enemies from Prehistoric Raptors, and evolved Flesh Eaters, to the Mother of all beasts. The monsters in Turok 2 will attack in groups, duck behind covers and run away like little girls when they are outgunned.

The remastered version will have six Quest Levels including the Port of Adia, the Death Marshes and the Lair of the Blind Ones. The sequel has a larger armoury that features shotguns, drills and an artillery-mounted Triceratops.
