Gearbox Software are finally going to answer the age-old question from Borderlands series - what is going on inside a psycho's head. We will literally travel to Krieg's brain to see for ourselves.
Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck is the name of the next campaign DLC in Borderlands 3 and it is releasing on September 10, 2020. Just like the name suggests, we are going to explore the insanity inside Krieg's mind since Tannis apparently found a way to send us there.
While simply getting paid for doing dumb things in Borderlands games is usually enough, this time we are serving a higher scientific purpose. It appears that Tannis is hypothesizing the psychos' uniform brand of madness came from witnessing what is inside the Vaulthalla and she now wants to know what it is exactly.
She came up with the idea of travelling inside a psycho's mind to figure it out and Krieg is was the only willing subject for the experiment. The trailer below showcases what it will look like when we get inside his head.
Most of the stuff we witness inside will probably look just as deranged as one might imagine but there are some familiar throwbacks. For example, Krieg's obsession with objects made of meat will materialise here with the "anthropomorphic brain train" serving as one example. Sadly, there is no indication we will see the train where Krieg served as a conductor.
There is also a glimpse of Maya, the one shot at sanity this particular psycho had. It's possible the DLC will offer more insight into how he's coping with the loss and many fans are probably hoping to see the duo ride off into the sunset on a meat bicycle built for two.
