Gearbox's RPG Borderlands 3 could soon launch on Nintendo Switch with extra DLC and missions. The game's Director's Cut version has been rated for Nintendo Switch.

Today, Gearbox and 2K Games are launching the special version of their RPG Borderlands 3. As you may know, it's the previously-announced Director's Cut that features new content including fresh maps and missions among other things. The Director's Cut is set to launch on all platforms and judging by the recent rating, it could also be coming to Nintendo Switch very soon.

The rating on Pan European Game Information (PEGI) lists Borderlands 3: Director's Cut for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and interestingly Nintendo Switch. The release date for the Switch version is set for today, April 8, 2021, which is a bit odd but it could be a placeholder.

At the time of writing, Gearbox Software and 2K Games are yet to release a statement regarding the PEGI rating but if the release is coming soon then it should take long before we get an official announcement.

Borderlands 3 is the only game in the beloved franchise that is not available on Nintendo's hybrid console, which gives us hope that the port is coming soon. However, until officially confirmed, take this with a grain of salt, since it's just speculation at the moment.

That being said, it would not be the first time that PEGI has leaked a game release via their rating website.
