Nothing is going right for Blizzard lately so it may not be too surprising to see they announced the annual convention will not be happening in early 2022.
Blizzard announced the BlizzConline will not be held in February 2022. The convention usually served to celebrate the company's most beloved franchises like Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft and most recently - Overwatch.
However, it's hard to imagine there would be much content to be shown next February as the company is struggling with releasing things the fans might like. Overwatch 2 is unlikely to come out in 2022 and all the good stuff is probably being held for the soft reveal in OWL in April 2022, World of Warcraft is possibly at an all-time low, Starcraft is slightly less existent than cyborg zombies and Diablo 4 is still quite far away.
That said, the official forum post states the company wants to take the time to reimagine what a BlizzCon event of the future could look like, which may not be the worst idea ever. Let's hope this results in fewer out of season April's Fools jokes.
Blizzard also noted they will keep posting updates for the upcoming games even though BlizzCon won't be around but there is no date attached so the announcements might be coming next week or in half a year, no one knows.
The one known thing is that the info will come through the "franchise channels" so whichever game you're anticipating, you might want to check out associated social media or YouTube channels for info.
