Co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, Mike Morhaime, has launched a new game company called Dreamhaven. Morhaime also established two new game studios named Moonshot and Secret Door.
Dreamhaven is the name of a brand new game company, started by Mike Morhaime, co-founder of the iconic publisher and developer Blizzard Entertainment. On top of this, Morhaime also started two new game studios, Moonshot and Secret Door.
Morhaime will be CEO of Dreamhaven while his wife Amy Morhaime will head operations, according to Venture Beat . The duo already hired a number of industry veterans, who previously worked at Blizzard, to run their studios which will work on new games. These will be separate projects but still, it's a pretty ambitious start for the company to have two games in development.
Dreamhaven currently employs 27 people but it's actively hiring more staff to work on the two already mentioned games.
At the moment, we do not have any information about these games but judging by the official Dreamhaven artwork, which you can see above, it looks like the company will focus on the fantasy genre. Of course, this is just a pure guess at the moment, it's possible that they have a completely different game in the works.

Here's what Morhaime had to say about his new company: "We're almost trying to create a haven for creators who want an environment that is development friendly, values product, and player experience over short-term financial pressures. We believe in the power of gaming to bring people together and as an escape of the unpleasant things that reality can bring. In that sense, it's a haven as well. We like the imagery of a lighthouse as a beacon, and that inspires us because we hope that Dreamhaven can be a beacon of hope to others in the industry who share our values and philosophies."
Morhaime left Blizzard at the end of 2018, after spending 27 years at the company.
