DICE has taken over the gaming scene with their new Battlefield 6. The new entrant in the Battlefield series has brought back the OG shooter goodness from Battlefield 3 and 4. To let players take a look at what's in store for them, EA has also released the early access for the open beta on August 7.
The open beta of Battlefield 6 will let players test out the new features of the game, including the maps, game modes, and weapons. Weapons have always been the focal point of a good Battlefield title, so if you're curious about the weapons in Battlefield, here's a brief look at them.
All Weapons in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta
Battlefield 6's open beta features 15 weapons divided into categories like ARs, Carbines, and LMGs. Here's a list of all weapons in the open beta:
- Assault Rifles
- M4A1
- AK-205
- M417 A2
- Carbines
- NVO-228E
- B36A4
- M433
- SMGs & PDWs
- SGX
- PW7A2
- LMG
- L110
- KTS100 MK8
- DMRs
- M39 EMR
- SVK-8.6
- Sniper Rifle
- M2010 ESR
- Shotgun
- M87A1
- Sidearm/Pistol
- P-18
All weapons in the list can be used by all classes in the open weapons system. However, in the class-locked weapons system, the assault rifle can only be used by the assault class, the SMGs can be used by the engineer class, the LMGs can be used by the support class, and the sniper rifle can only be used by the recon class.
While all weapons are quite good in Battlefield 6's open beta, some weapons excel in their own ways. For instance, the M4A1 is arguably the best assault rifle for medium- to short-range fights; the time to kill for this rifle is impressively efficient. On the other hand, the SGX SMG and M87A1 shotgun are the best weapons for close-range gunfights. Especially with the shotgun, you will end up winning almost all gunfights in medium- to short-range fights.
