Ubisoft's Viking-themed action-adventure Assassin's Creed Valhalla loads in about five seconds from the main menu or instantly via the console's Quick Resume feature.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is officially launching next week and as you may know, it will be one of the titles that you will get to play as soon as you set-up your shiny new Xbox Series X|S console.
The next-gen version of Valhalla will, of course, come with several improvements over the current-gen version including better visuals, higher frame rate and much faster loading times. However, until today, we did not know just how fast Assassin's Creed Valhalla loads on Xbox Series X but thanks to Eurogamer's Tom Phillips , we finally have some numbers.
He states that Assassin's Creed Valhalla on Xbox Series X loads in about five seconds when you start the game from the main menu and instantly when using Xbox's Quick Resume feature.
This is a pretty impressive result especially for a game with such a vast open-world - probably one of the biggest worlds you can explore in gaming. Also, it's worth mentioning that the loading times would probably be even better if Valhalla was specifically developed for the next-gen consoles Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
Speaking about PlayStation 5, it will be interesting to see just how quick the loading times are on Sony's console, which has a faster SSD than next-gen Xbox. We doubt the difference with be that big but let's wait for some benchmarks before jumping to any conclusions.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is officially hitting the shelves on November 10, 2020, for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PS4. The PS5 version releases alongside the console on November 12, 2020.
