Assassin's Creed Valhalla is now available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PC, Stadia, Amazon Luna and PlayStation 5. The players who own the game on PC have noticed that the Achievements tab is missing from their copy.
According to a discussion thread on Ubisoft's official Player Support tab for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, the latest game in the franchise does not support Achievements.
The user who goes by the name of RamsaysaurusRex has raised the question on November 10 saying : "There is no section for the achievements at all in Ubisoft Connect."
The Original Poster got a bunch of responses, among which were the ones from players who have played the game for dozens of hours. From the responses, it looks like the players will soon start asking for refunds left and right.
As SwanRonson33 pointed out, the landing page for Ubisoft connect has the achievements tab for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The client, however, doesn't feature the same tab.
Ubisoft also reworked their coin system so you can no longer earn them with achievements and challenges - only by levelling up.
User with the nickname andry9611 pointed out that there is no mention of the Achievements matter in the " known issues thread " Ubisoft shared on November 9 - one day before RamsaysaurusRex wrote his post.
For comparison, Watch Dogs: Legion - another Ubisoft title that launched in October 2020 features achievements that work as expected.
Ubisoft recently shared an announcement reporting a massive day-one player base for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The game officially launched for PlayStation 5 yesterday, November 12, 2020.
