The Apex Legends Global Series 2022-23 season has begun, with teams fighting in the Apex Legends esports for yet another year. Split 1 began on November 6 and will end on December 18 across all zones. With the top teams and broadcast talent in action, Apex Legends fans are in for a treat for yet another year.
This tournament is organized with the help of EA, Respawn Entertainment, and Battlefy, a well-known esports tournament organization. There is a total of five regions that are fighting for the Apex Legends Global Series trophy:
- North America
- South America
- EMEA
- APAC North
- APAC South
Pro League teams compete for rankings in each region across regular season splits, hoping to qualify for LAN playoffs held at the end of each split.
The Year 3 Pro League will feature 30 teams per region. 22 of those teams will be invited to participate, with the remaining 8 qualifying via the upcoming Preseason Qualifiers.
Year 3 of the ALGS will award a total prize pool of USD 5,000,000 and include three in-person competitions at which we'll crown global champions.
The Challenger Circuit competition will continue to build upon last season and in Year 3, the winning team from each Challenger Circuit competition will automatically qualify for the Split 2 Pro League Qualifier or the Last Chance Qualifier, depending on the Split.
The Pro Leagues have to play themselves out, inside a region, teams fight for the top spot to qualify for the LAN playoffs. This will determine each region’s best squads that will advance further.
