Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs gets a free update that gives players the ability to create and share the levels of their dreams with friends, receive ‘likes’, and discover an unlimited amount of player-created content.

Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs' latest update is now available in the Oculus Rift Store, Oculus Quest Store, Steam and Viveport.

The new update allows players the creative freedom to design and play their levels. The players are encouraged to keep the levels they design fun, challenging, and safe. Offensive and inappropriate levels will be removed.

"Even from the beginning stages of developing our level builder tool, the goal has always been to empower the community to create their very own levels, however they want," said Tommy Palm, CEO of Resolution Games.

The idea to introduce the level builder first popped up this past December and was implemented as a local feature. Players easily create one or more levels using different blocks, pigs and birds they've already encountered while playing the game.

Creating, Sharing and Discovering

The new update will assign each player their username. These usernames won't be required to browse others' creations, but the players who intend to share their creations online will have to have one.

Once a level is uploaded, it generates a specific code that can then be shared with the community for anyone to play. Individual levels can also be marked as ‘favourites’ by players to be played at their convenience.

After playing each custom level, players will be requested to provide feedback for it in the form of a like or dislike. The more likes a level receives, the more likely it will show up in "Quick Play" and when browsing for content.

Current Angry Birds VR: Isle of Pigs players will automatically receive today’s update for free through the Oculus Rift Store, Oculus Quest Store, Steam and Viveport, with the update coming to the PlayStation Store soon.
