Remedy have officially announced a remastered version of their horror title Alan Wake. The remaster is coming this Autumn and will feature improved visuals, all DLC and more.
"I'm beyond happy to tell you that at the time of writing this, Alan Wake Remastered is nearing its completion. Confirmed, announced, coming up in partnership with Epic Games Publishing. Multiplatform. PC on the Epic Games Store, Xbox, and for the first time ever, PlayStation, this generation and the previous one," writes Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment in the official announcement on Alan Wake fansite.
Just like the leaks revealed, Alan Wake Remastered is real and will be coming later sometime during Autumn 2021. Remedy promise Alan Wake experience that many players fell in love with all those years ago but also improvements to visuals and more.
"The visuals all around, including the character model of Alan Wake himself and the cinematics, have been updated and improved with some choice next-generation upgrades," it's written in the announcement.
While the details about the remaster are pretty scarce at the moment, Remedy promise to share more as we get closer to the release date.
Remedy studio have recently signed a publishing deal with Epic Games for two AAA games and the rumour has it that one of these games is a brand new Alan Wake title , potentially a sequel to the original. It's certainly not a coincidence that Remedy are bringing back Alan Wake - it's all part of the marketing campaign for Alan Wake 2 surely.
