Red mist can be very annoying in Redfall, here's how to get rid of it

If you're playing Redfall, you've probably noticed a blood-red smoke on the streets, which can be pretty deadly if you find yourself inside of it for more than a couple of seconds.

Xbox exclusive Redfall is finally out and while the game is not Arkane's strongest release to date, it still has plenty to offer and it's worth a try if you're subscribed to Game Pass. If you're already enjoying the game, you have probably stumbled upon spots of red smoke or mist with what appears to be a creature trapped inside of a trap made of flesh.

The smoke is deadly and you can barely survive inside of it for more than a couple of seconds. Sometimes, the smoke will block some important paths and if you're struggling to find a way around it, read on below, as we have a perfect solution for the red mist.

How to remove Red mist in Redfall?

To get rid of the smoke, first, you need to find a UV gun, which is obtained very early in the game. Once you have the gun, point it in the direction of the trapped vampire inside of the red smoke. If the creature is far away, use the gun's precise beam, which is the alternate firing mode. If the trap is just a couple of metres from you, you can use the primary, wide firing mode.

As soon as you light up the trap with UV light, the creature inside will start screaming. Keep the light on the creature until you petrify it and the red mist around it is gone. Once the red mist evaporates, shoot just one bullet at the creature or approach it and slam it with a melee button and that should do the trick.

Light up the trapped creature with UV gun to remove the red smoke

If you don't have a UV gun, you can look around the area for UV lights that can be turned on to petrify the creature.

So there you have it. That's how you get rid of the annoying red smoke that blocks paths and entrances to some buildings.
