World Bosses in Lost Ark are on a whole different level of difficulty when compared to the regular dungeon, region, or island bosses. The same goes for the Salt Giant of Yudia.
The lore of the Salt Giant is a story of noble sacrifice. After the fall of the civilization of its time, it decided to absorb the dark energies into itself to protect innocent people. It is now up to the players to put this corrupted, former, elemental out of its misery.
The Salt Giant can be found in Yudia, in the Saland Hills, in the Aregalt Salt Plains specifically, hence the name. As is the case with all World Bosses, the Salt Giant spawns every 30 minutes, so if it's not there, you will need to wait for it to respawn.

The Salt Giant has high base damage, with quite a formidable defense. Unless you're confident of kiting the monster, we recommend your first encounter to be with a party. Even then you won't be able to take this World Boss on if your gear is not up to par.
The Salt Giant is very straightforward in its attacks. It has one Area of Effect ability, which is very easy to dodge if your character has any mobility, with it then chasing after you to pummel you with its fists.
