Lies of P will often be compared to the king of soulslike games, Elden Ring, by introducing materials that are consumed to make your boss fights easier. Star fragments are supposed to be the equivalent of Furlcalling Finger Remedy in Elden Ring where a second entity gets summoned to assist you in your fight.
Star fragments are consumable materials that can be used to summon the Specter before a boss fight to assist you during the fight. They can be dropped by regular and heavy enemies all across the world. If you want to farm star fragments, the best place to do it is at the very entrance of the Factory.
How to obtain Star Fragments
Head over to the Workshop Union Entrance stargazer, and from there make your way towards the Puppet of the Future arena. Your path will be blocked by a heavy enemy and two normal enemies. The heavy enemy will always drop a piece of a star fragment upon defeat.
Defeating him is relatively easy since his moves are pretty slow. The two small enemies will stagger you, so get rid of them first and then try to face him from the front. He has a wheel on his back, so your back attacks will be useless against him.
The star fragments can be used to summon the Spectre during boss fights, but the Specter cannot be modified, and most of the time he will die relatively quickly. Plan your Specter summons to be a distraction rather than a second player that will help you defeat a boss.
