The factory is the next level of Lies of P. It is right outside the door of the arena for the Scrapped Watchman but there is one issue. Once you have completed the boss, the door that is supposed to lead you to the factory is locked and you don't have a key.
You have probably looked all over the place, checked your whole inventory and maybe even backtracked to see if you have missed something. Don't worry, so have we. You didn't miss anything but to Pinochio's current knowledge, he has no reason to go into the factory or leave the town.
In order to forward with the story, you need to travel to a few places and exhaust a few conversations so let's get into it. Here is how to unlock the next area, the factory.
How to unlock the Factory area
Firstly to locate the door, go forward into the building hallway and stay on the right side. Keep walking until you approach the "Ergo is Life" sign and then you will want to make a left turn. The door is going to be located there. If you have just beaten the boss and did not leave the arena, the door will be locked.
To get to the factory, head back to the Krat Hotel and find Geppeto. You can find him on the second floor, in his office. Once there, exhaust the conversation with him and he will tell you that his friend Venigni went to the factory to try to save it but he has never come back.
Once you have completely exhausted the conversation with Geppeto, you will be able to upgrade your skills and then you can head back to the Scrapped Watchman arena.
Now, once you have been informed that Venigni is missing and is located at the factory, the door will be unlocked without you needing any additional keys or items.
From there you will want to make your way towards the Venigni Works Control Room. That is where he will be waiting for you.
