Patch 10.22 will bring some interesting changes to the mid lane and while most champions will remain untouched, we could still see some new picks emerge in this position.
Riot Games' lead gameplay designer, Mark Yetter, has released the intended changes we will most likely see in patch 10.22 and that's why we've prepared a list of the best champions you should play in that position.
- S TIER:
- Annie
- Fizz
These two champions hold the highest win rate for the mid lane position at the moment. The upcoming changes to Annie's Molten Shield (E) will most likely make her even stronger now considering she will be able to cast a 400-500 HP shield on herself or an ally champion. This will also further on enable her to become a very strong mid-support flex pick.
- A TIER:
- Yone
- Vladimir
- Talon
- Diana
- Brand
- Zed
- Katarina
- Kassadin
- Sylas
Brand will get a significant buff to his ultimate Pyroclasm (R) which will now be able to bounce back to him as well. This will largely improve his state in the mid lane position since it will improve his isolated 1v1 potential. Also, in a meta where games are largely impacted by jungle-mid skirmishes, this will be a great tool while fighting off-lane.
- B TIER:
- Galio
- Cassiopeia
- Neeko
- Lux
- Swain
- Ahri
- LeBlanc
- Malzahar
- Orianna
- Twisted Fate
- Ahri
- Syndra
- Yasuo
- Zoe
LeBlanc's Ethereal Chains (E) will have a small buff in terms of overall damage and mana. This won't push her into the A tier but it will surely help out a lot, especially in the laning phase. Galio and Twisted Fate are the strongest utilty picks at the moment and if you find yourself auto-filled to this role, they are the two best choices as they can play safe and farm while also being able to impact the side lanes with their ultimates.
- C TIER:
- Karthus
- Ryze
- Aurelion Sol
- Rumble
- Morgana
- Pyke
- Viktor
- Qiyana
- Akali
- Taliyah
- Lissandra
- Azir
- Veigar
- Lucian
- Xerath
- D TIER:
- Corki
- Vel'Koz
- Ziggs
- Kayle
- Karma
- Cho'gath
- Sett
- Ornn
- Anivia
