Mark Yetter, Riot Games' lead gameplay designer, has released the intended changes we will most likely see in the 10.10 patch. There are some small adjustments made for the top lane and that's why we prepared a list of champions you should play in that position.
S tier:
- Darius
- Fiora
- Wukong
The S tier will remain unchanged and it still contains the three champions who have no clear weaknesses at any stage of the game.
A tier:
- Nasus
- Renekton
- Ornn
- Mordekaiser
- Urgot
- Cho'Gath
- Aatrox
- Maokai
- Garen
- Jax
Nasus has recently become an absolute late-game powerhouse and if it wasn't for his somewhat weak early game, compared to our S tier champions, he would definitely be in the tier above.
If he doesn't get hard-countered in the champion selection, Nasus can surely take away the game either through constant split push or by fighting alongside his team.
B tier:
- Malphite
- Irelia
- Rumble
- Sylas
- Shen
- Sett
- Kalista
- Renekton
- Poppy
- Illaoi
- Camille
- Pantheon
Irelia will see some small buffs to her Flawless Duet (E) which will certainly improve her trading power in the lane. Poppy is a good counter pick against most of the S or A tier champions since her Steadfast Presence (W) negates any dashes the opposing top laner might have.
C tier:

- Gangplank
- Yorick
- Riven
- Kalista
- Trundle
