If you decide to follow this lead, you'll get some pretty neat rewards in the process, so our suggestion is to do so. One of the mysteries that is located inside Castel Sant'Angelo (the area before arriving into the Vatican City) will make you backtrack for quite a bit, but if you're a comletionist, you won't let this one slip.
However, not just you'll have to walk a bit, but also the solution to this mystery can be challenging as well. So if you do not know how to solve the Bulls of Blood mystery, we got you covered with our guide.
The Bulls of Blood mystery solution
The Bulls of Blood mystery is located on the top of the castle and is very well guarded as well, so prepare yourself accordingly. Follow the map to reach the desk with the mystery note, and once you get it, you'll notice that this note is the letter of none other than the infamous Cesare Borgia.
You won't find that much information on the letter, so store it for some adventure points. Pick up the other document lying on the desk and check it out. This document contains the map that will show you where you need to go next. The map is the same as the one you have, so follow the same landmarks.
To simplify, turn right as you stand in front of the desk, and you'll see two paintings of some bulls (bull is the symbol of the Borgia family). Approach each painting and inspect their outer edges; the prompt button will appear. Press the button and turn both paintings upside down, the way that the red bull is up and the white one is down.
After you set the paintings correctly, the door between them will open. Enter the next area and pick up the item in front of you. Doing so, you'll solve the mystery and earn 100 adventure points.
