The Division 2's endgame consists of picking up as much of collecting many cool looking weapons and outfits as it does of gear grinding. However, the Hunter outfit and Breakpoint mask can be acquired before even reaching level 30.
Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment put out a surge of cosmetic items for The Division 2 that are not obtained in conventional ways - through in-game loot boxes that were attained with either gameplay or premium currency. Such was the case with the and a weapon skin that were obtained through Twitch Drops and now Hunter outfit and Breakpoint mask are also not obtainable through regular means.
In order to get the Breakpoint mask, you will need to redeem it from Club Rewards on uPlay which is not exactly rocket science. You do need to own Ghost Recon: Breakpoint in order to redeem the reward though so if you already purchased the game, you're set. If not, you should do the math and figure out whether it's worth buying Breakpoint just for the mask.
As for the Hunter outfit, you can get it through The Division 2's new referral program. This will take a few steps to unlock:
- First, you need to generate your unique referral link
- Share the link with a friend or a person you found in another way
- The Recruit that clicked your link needs to buy The Division 2
- Linked Recruit and Veteran need to play three missions together
- Only Story Missions and Strongholds count
- ????
- Profit
Recruits will not be left empty-handed either. By doing missions with their Veteran, they will earn the Stinger LMG and three Friend Referral Caches that contain one gear piece and one Apparel Chest Key each. Furthermore, the Recruits will have 20 per cent experience boost enabled until level 30, as long as they play with their veterans.
If you are a Veteran that's looking for a Recruit and are stumped on how or where to get one, you can head to which has a channel dedicated to pairing up the two groups.
Good cosmetic hunting!
